If you have been a regular on this blog, you would know by now that I am a regular victim of bad headaches which do convert into migraines!! That is the reason why I am always looking into articles which decode more and more reasons of headaches. So, let me share with you what all I found this time.
Toxins in your system
So, have you been binging lately? Or, not really taking care of your health? Or, a lot of junk food and no exercise or skimping on your sleep or drinking or smoking or taking caffeine and processed foods? Or, being unhealthy in the most possible ways. Then, it is time for a detox. Because, the toxins in your system can wreak havoc and headache is just one of them!!The major cause of both tension headaches and migraines is the retention of toxins or tissue irritants within the central nervous system. These chemical irritants may cause an over-sensitivity of nerve tissues to other stimuli [Source].

Inadequate Breathing
Yup, this is one of the most common reasons for a headache!! We do not breathe properly, as in like the babies do. Fill the oxygen in the tummy rather than the chest. And, that is most often the reason why we are oxygen deprived. And, our organs need proper supply of oxygen to work properly. When the oxygen levels fall in the body, cluster headaches can be one of the results. Also, remember that deep breathing is necessary at all times. For example, when you are sitting, body tends to breathe shallow. Similarly, yawning is one of the symptoms which indicate lack of oxygen in the body. Other symptoms are morning headaches, being tired all the time and not feeling like working.
Lack of Protein
Did you know that a vegetarian diet is actually deficient in protein unless you are getting it from supplements. And, it is not necessary that supplements make up for it. Headache is one of the causes of lack of protein. So, is skipping meals. So, avoid both of them. But, beware!! Eating lot of animal meat can give you proteins but equally result in chronic migraines. So, a balanced diet is the answer to this riddle!!
Anemia and Lack of B-12
B-12 is also called cyanocobalamin. And, lack of B-12 happens because of anemia. B-12 is responsible for our DNA and red blood cells. Due to anemia, RBC's count is lower than required which is why it can result in fatigue and headaches. Also, B-12 helps the body absorb folic acid which results in release of energy.
And, now the bonus tip:
Lack of Vitamin D
Vitamin D deficiency has become much prevalent now a days. And, as I have discussed many times earlier as well, lack of Vitamin D causes loss of energy levels and increases fatigue in the body. It also results in chronic headaches and sleep disorders. And, now the bonus tip:
Lack of Water
I think I have already discussed this in one the previous posts that dehydrated body also gets prone to headaches. So, next time, you get a headache, drink up a glass of water and preferably hot water so as to give a soothing effect to the body.
Now, you know what to do next time you get a headache - drink up water or get a bit of food into your system or detox yourself!!
Now, its your turn! Do you suffer from chronic headaches? Do you rely on the medicines or try to bear it out? Or, have you figured out a trigger for your headaches? Do tell me if you know of any other causes for headaches. Waiting to hear from you...
