Loving It / Using It Vol. 13 - Vaadi Herbals Instaglow Almond & Honey Face Pack

A while back I was sent out their clay based face pack and now we have this. I prefer this over the other one because this an apt product for winters. As the name suggests, the product is creamy and nourishing and I totally love to use it :)

Loving / Using It : Using It

• Price: Rs 90 for 120 gms  

• Availability. generally available on online stores like flipkart, nykaa. Vaadiherbals.com is the existing brand website as well. 

• Packaging. It comes in a tube so easy to squeeze out and hygienic as well. It is travel-friendly too.    

• Type of Skin. It is amazing for dry skin, not so much for combination or oily!
  

• Easy to Apply. If I can say that the above-mentioned face pack was easy to apply, this goes on like a dream. The consistency is that of a mousse. 

• Results. It leaves my face looking soft and glowing. The best part of the product is it can be used everyday. 

• Ingredient List not specified. Like the cuticle oil, the ingredient list is missing.    

Overall Verdict

One of the really good face packs I have used in a long time so definitely, yes!!

So, this was on loving it list, if you remember! And, then, I had stopped using it for like a month. So, when I used it today, I recalled I have not yet reviewed it. So, here it is!!

Well, the first time I used the product, I remembered loving the texture of the product. It is so fluffy and smooth and looks very very luxurious. I think that is what I fell in love with.

When I used it as a scrub cum face wash, it was really soft on skin and yet removed the dead cells gently. But, the mask part was not so amazing. But still it was fine.

I love the entire concept of face wash cum scrub cum mask. Actually, the reason is that since May, I was following the same thing using 3 different products in the shower which was resulting in a lot of time waste in washing off one product and applying the other!

A single product which can actually take care of everything came like a god-send. I use oils to cleanse off my sunscreen and this product is good at washing off the oil. Well, I can only say that not all face washes remove the oil completely!!

And, the scrubbing if done everyday is not really good but may be you can just be really gentle with it. Well, overall, how the product performs is quite vague in my case!

It cleans the face really well and leaves a subtle glow at the end but the glow does not really last for long. May be in the long run it really does something for the skin but I did not really feel that way. The only reason I love it is because of its texture. But, yes, it is worth a try!!

Loving / Using It Vol. 6 - Vaadi Herbals Chandan Kesar Haldi Face Pack

If I have to compile a list of products I would like to use, face pack would generally rank at the bottom. I am restless and keeping on a thick layer of mask on my face sans the specs is really difficult for me coz I can really not do anything else in that time.

So, reviewing this was a lot easier. In fact, while using this product, I did not use anything except for a face wash and sometimes used to skimp on the moisturizer as well. So, let us get on with how this product performed on me!!

Loving / Using It : Using It

• Price. Rs 90

• Easy to Apply. The product is light in consistency and texture so spreads easily on the skin. Always apply masks on a slightly damp skin. Water helps absorb the products. But, as always, clay products are best removed just before they are completely dry.

• Brightens the Skin. Instantly brightens and leaves the skin soft after removal. No stretchy feeling. Regarding absorption of oil on the skin, I am not sure how much it is effective as I had dry skin this time. The results last only for a day or two depending on your exposure to sun and pollution.

Overall Verdict

It is worth one try and probably can be used almost everyday.

My Experience

I have used this product for a very long time (above 2 months) and took my own time to review it. Even now, I would say I am confused. It comes in a really bulky tub which is heavy and has a very narrow mouth so getting the product when the tub is almost empty is kind of difficult. A tube would be better. 

The product is ashy grey in color and smells weird. It is a thick cream and doesn't really glide on skin easily. First of all, the instructions are not very clear as to how the product should be used? Is it supposed to be used on dry skin, wet or damp?

So, to clear the confusion, the cream glides on well only on damp skin. And, let me tell you that it doesn't glide on really smoothly unless you take only a bit of the product. If you take excess on your finger, it will clump on your skin. I apply it on face and neck. 

When on skin, it tingles a lot for a few seconds but its not exactly an uncomfortable feeling. I leave it on for 10 minutes. Now, taking it off is a damn pain. Best way to take off this product is using a wash cloth. The product is so sticky that it makes the cloth also sticky!

And, it takes a lot of water also to wash off. Now, results? I did not really see much of brightening. But, this mask served more as a nourishing face mask which leaves a subtle glow of hydrated and healthy skin. This glow stays till next morning. 

I wish they improve on the packaging and mention proper usage instructions. Also, I felt that it might not suit sensitive skin or dry skin either coz I sometimes found it a bit drying or even those who are sensitive to lactic acid. I found it a bit expensive as well!

Ingredients

• 2 tbsp of finely chopped parsley
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 tsp lemon (optional)

Method

• Finely chop the parsley with either a knife or use a food processor
• Add one egg yolk to the mixture
• Add 1 tbsp of honey and 1 tsp of lemon, if desired
• Mix ingredients well
• Using a basting brush, apply mask over entire face, avoiding the eyes
• Let sit for 20 minutes
• Wash away with warm water and pat face dry

My Experience

Ok, the first time I used the product, I didn't know how I was supposed to use it so used it on completely dry skin and applied a really thick layer as it wasn't spreading easily on skin. That time only I used around 3-4 uses of the mask!! Then, I realized that it should be applied on damp skin. 

From next time, I started using it in the bath. Keeping it for 20 minutes is something I hate but still follow. Yeah, I am running low on patience these days!! Ok, so the product is a commercial version of homemade ubtan. The worst part of the product being it stains the skin and clothes YELLOW :(

As you can see in the pic, it is a little grainy in texture which is very gentle on skin and helps to clean the blackheads and dead skin cells. Its is recommended to use the mask daily but honestly it becomes an expensive deal to use it daily. In that case, the homemade deal would be better.

I got around 10 uses with the product. But, yes, its a good product and it has definitely improved my skin a lot. Though, I didn't notice any skin lightening. Some one had commented that my skin was looking pink after using this product so that was something surprising. 

I have liked Auravedic products more or less so this is another addition to that list. There is another product which came along with this one. Its just the powdered ubtan which has to be mixed with some liquid and used daily so I shall try it out next. Meanwhile, you should check this out :)
