Just Gossip Vol. 25 - The Year 2013!

So, this was a roller coaster year! It has been quite an eventful year after a very long dull phase in the life and it had started at good note. So, here are a few countdowns on what I did and learned this year! Some random jottings.
  1. I traveled a lot - Guwahati, Kharagpur, Jim Corbett, Singapore, Podgatlapalli (which is a village in AP, even I can not pronounce it).
  2. I got married. Well, obviously!
  3. I wrote a short story which was well-received to whomsoever I passed it :)
  4. I was more positive and optimistic this year.
  5. I stuck to the exercise regime more stringently this year.
  6. I am more confident with my flaws.
  7. I know that compromise happens only when we let it happen.
  8. Dream on and know what you want and you will get it.
  9. Patience is very very important.
  10. I made my own bed for the first time - the double bed!!
  11. I actually catered to some of the relative guests who came to the house. I had never done that at my house - always left it to the super-mom.
  12. I have new appreciation for whatever my mom does for the house.
  13. I have realized it this year that how uncannily I copy my mum's methods in everything. (This I had realized before marriage only!)
  14. I actually had a bath and not in a bathroom!! Well, yea, the village I am talking did not have bathroom. Yikes, I know! I had to use 2-3 bed sheets to make a make-shift bathroom and took bath, that too head-bath! My cousins did help, of course!
  15. I planned a trip (Singapore) and it was more or less successful so I get to do more of them :D Have to see where I am heading next!
  16. Negativity comes far too easily and it is very easy to complain and to resist is a bitch!!
  17. I love jewelery but do not like being told what to wear and what not! Come to that matter, I do not like being told anything by anyone else!!
  18. I am usually a good judge of people but its good to not judge anytime.
  19. I want to read more.
  20. Confusion is a state of mind I totally hate! Oh yeah, I am perpetually confused.
  21. Your health is very very important. Do not compromise on it or take it for granted even for a single day!
  22. I hate local commute. I love staying close to workplace.
  23. Regular exercise is very important.
  24. It is good to explore the wider horizons of life than being curled up in monotony.
  25. You are not the same person you were when you read point 24. Yes, I mean you are changing every single second of the day. You are not what you were a minute before. You are evolving and it is ok. Do not be afraid of it. Accept it and love it and enjoy it.
  26. Talk to older people. They can teach you a lot!! Talk to younger people. You will learn a lot.
  27. Save before you spend.
  28. Love your body as it is and it will mould to how you want!!
  29. Get a body massage at a good place. It can be a lifetime experience.
  30. Roller-coaster rides were and will never be my cup of tea!! For all those who went to universal studios mummy ride, how was it?? I was parched and I got a crick in the neck and my heart was in my mouth.
And, THE SECRET - Whatever you believe in will come true. Nothing else matters. So, always think good and dream on.

Just Gossip Vol. 5 - New Year and New Resolutions on the Beauty and Blogging Sector

So, today is the last day of the year and since we made it through the apocalypse without any harm to Earth or its infrastructure, we should congratulate ourselves. And, welcome the new year with even more gusto. That calls for an introspection of what it means to die.

Anyways. So, here is saying good bye to 2012 which has definitely taught me a lot of things but I am not able to recall anything of importance right away to share with you. So, let's see what I am planning for next year.

My Blogging Resolutions for 2013
  • I shall try to blog regularly on the weekdays on both of my blogs, public holidays included :D
  • On a personal front, I would like to learn 12 new things this year and that would be different from the things we learn daily in life. I hope I am able to reach half of this goal :)
    • Ok, so, this thing has been going on for some days and I want to announce my other blog in another niche. Its all about inspired living and its different. Its about life and relationships and all other things which I observe and write about. Since I have only started it on 12th December, I am kind of skeptical and would love your opinions on it. So, if you are interested, please go ahead and check out. The blog is Moments and Seconds :) Honestly, its not easy to write it but I am persevering!!
I am not really able to think of any more!! Any advises???

      What I realized in 2012
      • I was very shy to apply lip balms in front of others but now I give a damn to anyone who has time enough to stare at me. Yay! And, thanks to Roshni for this :)
      • I realized that I love red color in my footwear!! I got new floaters in red and I am loving them. I have to thank one very special person in my life for this :)
      • And, I also realized that howsoever much I might love colors, I would always stick to monochrome. I am more utilitarian in my tastes as compared to artistic. And, when I try to become artistic, things don't get better :(
      • I had realized this long back but I don't only have two left feet but two left hands as well :D I can't carry lot of things in my hands so I need a huge sling bag or backpack instead of a trendy handbag!!
      • I should read more books because it helps me think better and improves my perspicacity of things! Oh no, not self-helps one or the non-fiction types!!
And, this is adieus to 2012. And, I realize I am an year older which makes me sad as well as happy!! See you folks in the new year :) Have a blast and wish you all a very very happy and prosperous new year!!

Are you keeping any resolutions??? Do share. I am dying to know :)

      Pain or Gain??

Let me tell you how I managed to get rid of his really sexy stubble!! One day, he, himself, provided me with the time and occasion to teach him a lesson.

Mr. Husband (calls from the office) : Hey Sweetheart!! How are you doing? Are you too tired from the day? Or, you ready to go on a date?

Me (just back from office and sipping tea watching Mr. Bond, isn't he all cleaned up and sexy??) : What?? Date? What's so special today?

Mr. Husband (reddening on the other side): Uhh...I thought you would like us to go out more often! And, I am getting free early so I thought I might as well use the evening.

Me (smiling to myself for the flattery which comes so un-often!) : Yeah, stop making puppy faces! I can recognize it on the phone, as well. Fine, I shall be ready. Where are we going?

Mr. Husband (brimming with male pride and something else as well) : Well, let that be a surprise, Darling!

Me (raising an eyebrow) : Well, ohk! Make sure you come back on time or you are going to stay out of the house for the next week. You know the drill already!

Mr. Husband (winking naughtily) : Yeah, sure! We shall see how you keep me out.

And, then, I decided to pamper myself and to dress to kill. I have to admit what ever faults my husband has, he is a busy man and his effort to take out time for an unplanned date must have been going on for months in his head. But, he also has a downside and that's the habit I wanted him to get rid of.

I had to make full use of this occasion to get what I wanted and I had hit on the perfect strategy. Remember, who waits patiently often gets what he wants. And, almost after an hour, bingo, he was back on time for dinner. Sure, that was surprising!

Mr. Husband : See, I came back on time. And, wow, you are looking so amazing!

Me : Good for you. Now, go and get ready!

Mr. Husband: What, why??? I am looking fine.

Me (talking sexily) : Well, if I am looking so sexy, I want my husband to look equally awesome, right?? Please get ready for me.

Mr. Husband : Come on, you know your husband is sexy enough to make women drool on him even when tired from a day at office. I shall just refresh myself and then we shall leave.

I give up!! I know him. No, he is not the one to think about his looks but he definitely is lazy enough to not bother with all the frivolities. I wish I could make him realize that how I wanted him to make special efforts to get ready. No, its not for someone else but for us.

But, some things just don't enter a man's head. Anyways, he was ready after like 20 minutes. And, boy, he does look awesome even with that sexy stubble. I could kiss him right away and forgo the date for dessert *naughty wink*.

So, we went out for our date and had really amazing food in one of the most romantic ambiances of the city. And, I knew that the night was going to be really special and steamy. I was already feeling guilty for spoiling it. But, I had to do it.

After dinner, we went to our special place and had the most amazing desserts and relived our dating days. We had not talked like this for few months now and now we felt as if time had turned back.

We went back. Kissing started right as we locked our main door and the bed wasn't exactly far enough. Everything was perfect and I wanted it to go that way.

He has a strange fascination to my feet and he always kisses them. Yes, it makes me feel special but, today, I was not feeling so special coz I knew that in sometime our night would be ruined.

He kissed my toes and then heels and then the ankle and then started towards the calf muscles from the shin bones.

And, suddenly, something stung his lips. Ooh...they are really soft. I love kissing them and I felt, instantly, I should pull him back. But, it was too late. He tries kissing my legs again and again it stung his lips.

He said you have ants on your body and that made me burst out laughing. I was like are you crazy? He was like something stung me on my lips. He tries again and same thing. He switched on the light. And, there it was - the moment of truth.

Mr. Husband : You didn't shave??

Me (guiltily) : Yeah, I didn't have time so I thought I would leave it like that. And, you always keeps on saying its sexy so I thought you wouldn't mind.

Mr. Husband (bursts out laughing) : You didn't think anything like that. I know why you did it. You don't like my stubble so you wanted revenge, right? Fine, I am sorry but you know its really tiring to shave and get ready and then again go out. I am sorry.

Me : I know but I wish you would make some effort for these special days. And, I couldn't think of any other way to pass you the message.

Mr. Husband : Well, I totally loved the way you passed the message. And, the night continues...

And, we lived happily ever after. Yup, that was the end to all my woes. Ok, not all times but he did make some efforts at some special times and I was just glad for that. And, his stubble is there on all the other days which I don't find particularly annoying. How did you make your man get rid of that habit?

Just Gossip Vol. 4 - Changes in my Lifestyle!

Since I mentioned about my yoga classes, I thought I would also make a list of the lifestyle changes it has brought in me which I am totally loving!! Now, I am less on junk and more on fibre. But, its just not the result of yoga alone but a combination of many other things.

      No Snacks
Earlier, I used to prepare some maggi or something coz I feel hungry in the evenings. And, a healthier option takes a lot of time to prepare. But, since my yoga classes are from 6 to 7, I have to make sure I don't eat anything for at least an hour or two before.

That helps with skipping all the junk I would get into my system in the evenings generally. I have stopped having samosas or golgappas or any such things. At max, I have a glass of milk at around 7:45 or something after having a bath in the evening.

      More Fruits
A guy in our workplace goes every Wednesday to the farmer's market nearby and gets fruits and veggies. So, he started asking us out and whenever one of the people from here go, I do ask them to get some fruits. This has been a new development in the last two weeks.

So, I have been having a lot of oranges this week and last. I do have pomegranates as well but since they take a bit more of work, they are just sitting in my room waiting for their turn. I shall definitely finish them this weekend.

      Herbal Tea and Less Sugar
Earlier, we used to have the regular tea in my workplace because the herbal tea option was missing and I had been planning since quite long to skip the tea which wasn't really easy. I do need something or the other to drink.

So, a few days back, we bought a new pantry for ourselves which includes a lot of herbal teas. Now, I am hooked up to herbal teas. But, there is one downside to this situation. We have coffee as well and its pretty decent so I am unable to resist the temptation ;)

Just Gossip Vol. 3 - My Yoga Classes and changes in my Body!

So, why I have not been regular on the blog is because I have joined artistic yoga by Bharat Thakur. Now, don't ask me how they were in the starting because I was literally dead in the first week :D Second week was scary as well but a little less scary!!

Now, third week has commenced and I was down on Tuesday so I was in a dilemma to continue or not. Anyways, that's for another post. I wanted to join some activity which would keep me healthy and help me test my body limits even more and this came.

Man, abs exercises are killing!!! Anyways, I want to just list down how my body has changed in the past few weeks. Btw, these classes are for an hour and only on the weekdays. They will end in January and I am tensed how will I keep up. Because, right now, the compulsion and community is working as a motivation.

      How my body changed?
      • I lost weight, of course!!
      • I have more energy, I am less tired and more active.
      • I am happier.
      • My body feels lighter.
      • I have surprised myself by doing some things which I never thought I could do.
      • I sleep really well.
      • I sleep early.
      • And, I am getting up in the morning at right time!! And, without feeling groggy or anything.
      • The best part is even now that I am down, I am finding that my periods time is going on a lot smoother.
      • Another great thing is that my PMS was literally non-existent!! Yes, there were mood swings but not as intense as past few months.
      • I am less stressed out and probably my productivity is better (not sure though)!
      • I am more positive in outlook and I have a positive aura.
      • Now, whether my skin is glowing or not, I don't really know!!
      • My blood circulation has definitely improved. I can feel more blood flowing in my head.
      • I am feeling more hungry, enjoying the taste of food and I am a lot less negative in outlook.
      • This is the first time I have ever joined such classes and that's one thing which has made me happy!
      • My head aches are a lot more in control now :)
      • My body is so much lighter!! I can find more agility in my body as well :)
These are a few things right now I have noticed in myself which is making me very reluctant to not continue the next month but, honestly, there are financial considerations as well so I am kind of double-minded about it. I will probably try out something else!!

PS: This post is written on 19th December, 2012.

Just Gossip Vol. 2 - The Big News!!

Ok, so, I wanted to share with you all a really amazing piece of news. My lifelong dream came true when I got this basic professional camera. Yes, I got 60D...yay!!! Well, yup, that was the second on my list after the LED and its the only luxury I wanted in my entire life.

Oh boy, its such an involved machine. The aperture and shutter speed settings apart, there are a hell lot of things I need to learn. Whew! I hope I can make it to the photo walk there is in January. And, honestly, right now I am kind of overwhelmed.

I am trying to learn the ins and outs of the product and hope to get my hands real smooth on it soon. In fact, I am going to attend a colleague's wedding in January so was thinking of taking my camera there but I hope the guests over there don't mistake me for a photographer :D

This is my biggest moment in 2012 :) And, leaving you all with the best wishes for Christmas.

Just Gossip Vol. 1 - Milestones This Year and Blogging Round Up of 2012!

Since we have almost reached the end of 2012, I thought it would be a good time to do an entire round up this year on the blogging part of my life. Did you know I am about to complete 1000 posts!! Its like 20 short of it last time I checked. Whoa!!

Now, this year, I have been very much consistent, my most slacking month being December itself. I have written around 396 posts and would cross 400 by the end of the year...wooohoo!! Now, that was a milestone.

And, I have maintained the monthly hair journal which I shall keep on continuing till the blog exists or further notification, which ever is earlier ;D In fact, I might be coming up with more of such series as well. Let's see.

Now, one thing I noticed that in December, I felt quite burnt out. So, to keep the pressure of blogging down, I have decided that I shall blog only on the weekdays and the blog is gonna enjoy weekend off too :)

I might post anything on weekends but officially, I wouldn't post on Sat and Sun. That would definitely save me a lot of work and I can enjoy some off's as well :) But, my resolution to blog regularly stays on.

What other resolutions for the new year?? Well, I haven't yet thought about them. I don't really like making resolutions but yup, there would be some good news(es) coming hopefully by the start of the year. I am looking forward to a very huge buy this year end or next year start so all the best to me :)

And, thank you to all my lovely readers for all the support and love. Ok, you might also be wondering that I had said four loyal readers would get lucky this month. Well, I have postponed that idea. The reason being this month was cramped up with too many giveaways and I would like things to be a bit spread out so keep expecting good things :)

So, that was the gossip this time :)

Just Gossip Vol. 24 - What's up with me these days?

Ok, so, I have been dying to blog but I seriously am so packed all the time that I do not have the energy to go home and pick up the laptop or the patience to struggle with my Xperia to type an entire post on it. Anyways, if you are thinking that I am handling all the chores of the house, nothing could be farther from truth. If I handle my stuff only, its more than enough.

10 years of independence does make you a lot lazy. I get up in the morning, get ready and have breakfast and leave for office. Then, go back home and have dinner and sleep or may be squeeze in washing clothes in between or a movie on weekends. The commute itself eats up around 2-3 hours everyday!! I am so missing staying close to my workplace.

      My Beauty Woes
Ok, this might feel like ranting or complaining but I have hardly got anytime to take care of myself. I have hardly used any sunscreen since the wedding time. My scalp itches like crazy. I feel like pulling my hair out and yesterday I went for oiling and blow dry and the lady told me I have dandruff. I was like F..K!! I have no idea how to deal with. Should start with vinegar thing I always talk about. And, hair has become dry thanks to winters as well. And, I have not exfoliated my skin since like EVER. I hardly apply any moisturizer. I have to go to parlor but have no time since I prefer the parlor near my workplace. My entire routine is haywire. I seriously need to get back on track. Please do not mind my rantings but writing down helps me keep a track of what all I need to do.

      Other Things
I have not blogged since Eternity. Imagine its been a month almost (ok, a month is tomorrow) and we have not yet sorted out the photographs we like for the wedding album. The honeymoon snaps are lying in the memory card since then. Have to see them as well. Gosh so many things to finish. And, I have not washed my clothes since almost a week!! Me piling clothes is an alien concept.

And, here I had expected married life would agree with me. Right now I am really feeling like living in a transit period :D I do not even feel like I am newly married. How come some people feel the same even after an year or two, I wonder :( Wish I knew the secret :| Ok, I do promise I will come up with a happy post soon so please do not get bogged down by the rants :D

And, in the meantime, why don't you tell me how you have been doing?

I missed the blog birthday :(

Ok, so, you might have noticed that I have been missing from the blogging scene for quite sometime. There are two reasons - one is a small change in my daily routine which I shall be sharing with you quite soon and another is I am burned out!!

The worst part is that I missed the birthday which was yesterday :) Thanks Pranu for reminding me!! Anyways, so, happy belated birthday to the blog and I am so thankful to all my readers. And, as a return gift, there is Rustic Art giveaway running on the blog.

Coming up tomorrow is Just Herbs giveaway. So, enjoy that!! And, I shall be selecting the winner for Natural Mantra giveaway real soon. Also, please note that the winners of the giveaways would be contacted personally through the email ids provided.

I shall be announcing the winners on the blog after all the giveaways end. So, please, do not leave comments asking about the winner. If you are chosen as the winner, be sure you would get a mail from me sooner or later. And, once again, thank you for supporting me and the blog :)

      Love you all,
      Swati :)

happy birthday to perfect skin care for you

Whoa! We have turned 5. Can not believe how my life has changed. I remember starting this blog in a single hostel room when I was trying to complete my research and then trying to keep up with it all through my job and then I got married and abandoned it but eventually returned to it! So, cheers to many more years :)

Talaash - story of revenge or KARMA?

So, I finally watched Talaash today after waiting for an entire week and having it on my laptop for this long!!! I have controlled myself and worse still, I knew the climax before hand.

But, I was still interested in watching the movie. I know many people said its boring or has a very uninspired climax but I think no other story would have befitted the ending!!

I won't say I loved the movie but I loved the climax (despite knowing it!!!). Yes, the movie was boring but I loved the concept of how "you have to pay for your actions in the same life" has been portrayed.

There were so many small stories and lives portrayed with all of them having same struggle in life and everyone coping with it in a different way - Rani takes refuge in talking to her son's spirit, Aamir in his work, Taimur in finding a way out of this life using a short cut and ultimately pays for all he had seen and ignored! Finally, I was thankful that he did do one good at the end even if he lost his life in the process. Its not a movie for me but its a film which has a deeper meaning for those want to look below the surface.

Kareena's dialogues are amazing!! "Koi chahe kitna bhi duba ho, sahab, tair kar upar to aana hi padta hai" or some such line which I don't exactly remember but one can perceive it according to their own understanding if she was talking about pain, life or just the bodies itself.

Oh btw, I also watched Jab tak hai Jaan. Its such a cliched SRK movie and its ONLY for him that you should watch it. I love the romantic Sharukh but having Katrina as the opposite didn't just pan up!! Somebody mentioned her as constipated :D Yup, when she and Anushka shared a scene, her (KK) expressions were so confused!!

Anyways, I spent my weekend watching movies back to back. Two Vampire Diaries episodes, Talaash, Breaking Dawn, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Laws of Attraction and I am totally exhausted. I am not even getting any inspiration to write on the blog so I am laying low for a while. Hope to get back soon :)

Oh, btw, don't forget to check out the Soulflower giveaway, if you haven't already!! Today is the last day to enter and I shall get back with the winners really soon!!

      Monday, December 7, 2015

      Whats up, guys??

Ohk, so, I was missing from the blog for the last 2-3 days!! Trying to just adjust to the new routine and also facing a block so going through a little-off phase. So, I thought I would take a break till Sunday :) See ya folks and enjoy entering the giveaways....Soulflower one is ending on 10th!!!

Oh, btw, I wanted to share this big news that perfectskincareforyou.blogspot.in has changed into perfectskincareforyou.com. I bought the domain from blogger so any of the URL's would work and none of the past links will break. So, enjoy the weekend :)

      Is the spilled boiling milk good omen? {Personal Beliefs}

      are you superstitious

Or, an example of my irresponsibility or carelessness that I left the milk boiling on the gas?? Man, I just googled about it and whoa, the amount of superstitions and beliefs over it! Some say its a good omen, some say its unlucky and one document said it means success preceded by danger?

So, what is it? What do you really think superstitions are? Do you really believe them? Well, from my perspective, we as human beings are definitely believers, if not superstitious, of some or other things.

      are you superstitious

I believe that some things which we unconsciously believe in, whether they are held in general beliefs or not, do hold true in our lives. So, in a sense, superstition is just a form of belief which we again choose to accept or not. So, ultimately whatever we do in life is our choice.

And, that's how our life gets guided and directed. Well, I am just hoping that this boiled milk spilling thing makes my wish come true :D See, I am not superstitious at all. I am just a believer of signs!! Btw, what do you think of signs?

      I am blocked!!

Ok, so, since morning I have been thinking on a topic to write. No, its not like there is dearth or something of topics but I am not able to write. Nothing is coming naturally. Some times blogging is so hard.

Anyways, so, I thought I would share some news instead. December is almost on the door step and its the third anniversary of the blog so I am excited and I did work a bit hard to bring to you guys something special. So, I do hope you enjoy it. Surprise would be revealed on 1st so not that much time :)

Oh btw, how do you like the Parachute ads? I find them to be desperate to market themselves on the basis of sexuality. Sorry if it offends someone but that's how I find it. I don't find them aesthetic. On the other hand, I am loving the Idea ads these days.

The ones which are on the theme of celebrating all festivals, no matter the religion. Especially, the sardarji uncle who acts like a Santa Claus...he looks so cute..don't you think?? And, I do think the catch line or theme makes sense. What do you say?

So, be ready and pull up your sleeves for some work :D Oh btw, how do you like the idea of facebook giveaway??

      Just Gossip Vol. 38 - Turning 1!!

      first wedding anniversary

Haha...do not get confused. I am not talking about the blog or me. I am talking about my wedding to P. We turned 1 a few days back. And, when I really think back, its weird. The time just flew by. In fact, everyone who called up said the same thing.
      • Finally, I got to taste some good red wine!!
      • You tend to reminisce a lot about how it was when you were single!
      • Marriage is way different than the regular relationships.
      • It is an opportunity to explore yourself if you have an encouraging partner.
      • Having a supportive partner can help you achieve your dreams.
      • Sometimes, love is the last thing you need.
      • Those of you who have read Men are from Mars and  Women are from Venus book would find themselves referring to each and every word of the book and you probably would have committed the book word by word to memory.
      • You might be two separate individuals for yourselves but you are one entity for outsiders, including parents. Never let anyone come in between.
      • This is your family. You are responsible for setting the tone in your relationship.
      • For females, do not overrule him or submit to his better judgement. Have a personality of your own and show it.
      • For males, marriage does not mean continuing the patriarchy or subjugation to wife, it is all about living in harmony allowing the accommodation of both the personalities.
      • And, whosoever said marriage is about compromise, I would like to say that I have always firmly believed that if you compromise, you can never be truly happy. A happy marriage is all about acceptance which takes time and does not happen overnight.

What do you like on Television?

So, I was at home last week and saw a LOTTTTTTTT of TV. Yup, not that great an idea but television is like always on at our house whether anyone watches it or not!! And, I watched literally everything.

Star Plus is always running on here, same was the case there. And, our Tata Sky doesn't have english movie channel package :( Even Harry Potter was coming in Hindi and there was a real hilarious translation :D Ok, lemme narrate that to you!!
It was Harry Potter - The Goblet of Fire movie when Harry and Ron end up fighting because Ron thinks Harry went and dropped his own name for the Triwizard Tournament without telling Ron about it. The fist test was fighting with dragons which Ron comes to know through his brother Charlie and wanted to convey the message to Harry but since they are not on speaking terms, he uses Hermione. Hermione gets confused and ends up conveying only the last part of the intended message and when Harry tries conveying his message back, Hermione shouts back so this is what she says in Hindi!!
Hermione : Main ullo nahi hun (I am not an Owl).
I don't know you found that excerpt funny or not but it was damn funny while watching it :D Anyways, what I totally love watching is Crime Patrol. Whoa, you should have seen the Euthnasia case which was aired a few days back.

It was an acid burn case resulting from eve teasing and it was heart wrenching. They air all the real police cases - solved or unsolved. And, it really makes me thankful for the safe life I have led whether alone or with parents!!

Have you watched it? If yes, how do you like it?

      I am Back!!!

Sorry for no post today but I didn't have my laptop with me. Had left it in safekeeping with my friend. That's also the reason for my entire disappearance from the blog :) I have to read and reply to so many comments and mails :) Thanks for that!

Btw, I was keeping a look on the blog all the while to check out what you guys are writing but it was from dad's chotu lappie which is way too small for me. In fact, again getting accustomed to the huge screen is itself an experience. Yup, I am back to Hyd.

Came back yest and I felt that Hyderabad is way cooler than Delhi. Ok, I know everyone from there would love to kill me but honestly, I felt warm there and then it felt a bit chillier on last Thursday and Friday and then, I was feeling really hot on Sunday. I caught cold as well there :(

Nah, its not exactly a bad cold but just a bit which is apparent with my nasal baritone voice. I could beat Himesh Reshamiyyah's singing (pardon if the spelling is wrong, I am not in a googling mode right now) :D Rest, trip was great and I wore a really pretty suit on Diwali which I would share with you only if the snaps have come up nicely.

And, what else? I did go to Kama shop. And, I got French Cypress Essential Oil from there. Its amazing. Right now my nose is blocked so I am writing that based on the impressions in the store and that of my parents. I smelled it there for quite a while. Yup, pretty expensive.

I have to get into the blogging mode again so the posts might come little lazily. Honestly, a total lazy holiday has taken me into quite a different world and I am right now in a day dream which I want to end ASAP. I wanna go back HOMEEEE. Yup, homesickness at its worst and I am so hungry right now!

      Vampires and Hunks

don't you think him yummy!! ok, a secret...he looks even more yummy when naked :D Nah, I am not a fan of guy skin show, honestly, but CAN'T resist this guy!!

So, Vampire Diaries has started with a big bang and I am totally loving this season. No, its not my favorite vampirish show. Mine is True Blood and I totally love the hunk in it. In fact, I have never loved any other guy as much on screen. No Tom Cruise or SRK or any one else!!!

I can go gaga over this guy just like a teenage girl. Anyways, I am trying to control my screech right now. I totally lose it when ever I see him :D I am so crazy about him that I had already done a post on him long back around in May or June.

And, I am so desperately waiting for the next season of True Blood. The cliffhanger was fantastical with Billith. Ok, I know this post is really boring for others so there is something for you as well which you can share in the comments.

So, which car do you drive? Mine is aquarius. Yup, I do prefer buses and public transport :D

Is love supposed to happen in a moment?

Well, as you all know I have been hitched very recently. Its not like I have never really dreamed of what it will be to love or get married but being pragmatic, I do not really believe in the clichéd concept of love at first sight. But, I do like the sound of it :D specially in Yash Chopra movies.

Anyways, coming back, I usually keep teasing my fiancé how he should cherish me and appreciate and respect me instead of thinking of dominating me and all blah blah things girls do. Well, I do have to thank my really amazing in-laws who have drilled into him the importance of a wife and how she should be taken care of!

Ours is a typical arranged marriage which is depicted in the Platinum love bands ads with a minimum time frame to say yes. Anyways, what I was going to talk about is something quite different. This happened just yesterday. I got a really sweet message on whatsapp which is as follows:
I look around and wonder why do people look at a married woman differently? She might look better dressed, maybe wearing an ornament or two, that mark her married. But she's still a girl at heart, sindoor and bindi don't make her a woman. She may be still learning how to run a home, she still might be struggling taking care of not just herself but two and more people, she might not always like to hear 'what does your husband do'... Marriage doesn't suddenly turn a girl into a woman. For that matter having kids doesn't necessarily do the same either. Celebrate who she really is, celebrate the child in her, she may be anyone around you, ur friend, ur sister, ur mother, a total stranger. She's not supposed to be responsible for innumerous things, countless chores, it's just her desire for perfection that she does what she does. This is for every wonderful woman I know. Grow up... but take your own sweet time & let the li'l girl in you live forever. And for all my male friends... cherish her, spoil her and most importantly let her be... She wasn't born to take care of you, it's her heart that makes her do so.
And, me being me, promptly forwarded it to my fiance to check it out and learn from it :D And, this is what he replies back. Since I want to end the post with his lovely message, let me end the story here. After reading it, I immediately call him up asking him "where did you copy it from?" He was like "OMG, this girl! I wrote it spontaneously after reading yours." So, for now in our short relationship, this is my platinum moment of love. The reply is a little haphazard being spontaneous so needs time to sink in properly.
I always wonder why people take it for granted every man has got to or try to show upper hand...Real meaning of marriage is not just meant a complete transformation of one another or getting a promotion. Its equally the same feeling for a guy just like a girl feels..marriage is all about understanding ones own self and be like 2 minds in setting a boat to smooth sail..Even guy has to loose many things..he develops additional qualities of being possessive, in every walk he takes...thinks of other persons without him... his life is complete...See regarding the point of doing chores and taking care of u...marriage will get ultimate essence of living...when a kid is born it does not mean she has to bear him or do all his chores....it's the ultimate feeling for a women that cant be described nor can be measured...So god has set up the knot called marriage solely being..for doing any thing hard mind us required...but doing at right time...patience is required to enjoy the fruit of success..likewise patience symbolizes woman and hard mind symbolizes man..unless they both combine...success will not be the fruit..In short it's not about adjustment or single heart...its about 2 souls sharing everything...(censored :D)
Also, I would like to share with you a very beautiful article on marriage. Do check it out!! And, this post is my entry for Indiblogger Platinum Day of Love Contest.

      What's your spot of sunshine in the day? {Your Opinion}

Spot of Sunshine is the moment which you look forward to in the entire day. The moment which makes your day worthwhile. It can be anything from talking to your parents to listening to music to meeting up with friends or just sitting quietly and drifting into daydreams.

My spot of sunshine - honestly, if I really sit and think about it, there are many. First, talking to mom when coming back from work. I always call her when walking from office to home and it is any time between 5 and 6, generally. And, talking to dad at night.

My mom always pretends as if she is busy with work and doesn't like to be disturbed but I also know that she waits for my call and, in fact, if something happens and I don't call, she does get disappointed even though she would never say so. She is kind of non-verbal when it comes to love and demonstrating it :D

What am I like? I think I am mix of both - mom and dad. I do shower a lot of excesses but its all superficial or rather the top layer only. But, my deepest feelings, I am never able to talk about them. In fact, I don't know how to do that even if I want to!!

Anyway, moving on, my next spot of sunshine is reading your comments. Another reason why you should comment more!!! Heed to it :D I can't think of any other activity in my entire day which I actually look forward to. Sad that I don't find the same level of excitement or responsibility when it comes to work. I think I should try harder!!

I do also think that spot of sunshine is the moment which you look forward to even during the darkest days of your life. After all, that's what would make that moment really special - having a light even when what you can see is only darkness, right? Getting too heavy? Ok, I will stop here and open the floor to you :)
