Weekend Gossip Vol. 11 - Categories of boyfriends!

So, I had to share this with you all when my colleague told me. Its a snippet of interaction between a mom and her son of 8.

Kid: Mom, was dad your boyfriend?
Mom: Yes.
Kid: So, was he a normal boyfriend or a kissing boyfriend?

Well, the mommy was naturally stumped :D What do kids talk these days and what they discuss, gosh! Its just crazy how they are growing.

Have you faced such an incident personally or heard of it?

Weekend Gossip Vol. 8 - Was it really Ek Thi Daayan?

I am a really big darpok!! Anything remotely psychological or horror makes me run away from the place and close my eyes tightly! But, then, some very interesting kind of scary movies spook my interest. One such was the trailer of this movie.

Have to say that its first half is really really amazing! I closed my eyes many times and missed a lot of scenes. The kids were amazing and there is a baby girl in the movie who is just beautiful :) And, kudos to Konkona. She is such an amazing and flawless actor.

Yes, the best part of the movie is just her. And, if you have searched for the reviews of the movie online, they are all correct. The first half of the movie is spooky and its a downhill after that! The climax is said to be amazing at many places but honestly it falls flat on the face.

It is just predictable and hilarious!! Some of the action scenes are borrowed from chinese flicks and some from True Blood. Nothing was remotely scary and in fact you end up gritting your teeth for some action.

But, have to watch the movie for the first half and Konkona. That is gonna be in your mind for a long time even after coming out of the movie. She looks beautiful and her eyes are so expressive; overall a deliciously thrilling package.

Oh, I forgot to mention about the soundtrack. Don't miss the song which plays during the credits in the starting of the movie. And, then, there is Kaali Kaali Aankhon ka Kaala Kaala Jadoo Hai which gets on your lips by the end. And, then, there is a really haunting background score specially associated with Daayans.

Weekend Gossip Vol. 6 - On turning 27!

Well, I turned 27 few days back. Yeah, that was day when I was in Jim Corbett. The plan was to call tiger and elephant for the birthday party :D Ok, jokes aside, back to the post.

But, as we age, our skin and health concerns change. So, I thought it would be a good exercise to catalog what changes are necessary from now on. Hopefully, they would be helpful to you too :)

Anti-Aging Skin Care
I have never really cared for the anti-aging skin care yet except being a bit diligent with sunscreen. But, I remember reading about the right time to start anti-aging skin care is in the 20's and blah blah.

So, that's something you might see on the blog this year. But, you are forewarned when I say you wouldn't probably see many anti-aging products! I would still prefer simple and inexpensive ways.

Diet
When I was 18,19,20 or even 21, I used to eat anything and everything without any care. But, now, I have become more or less health conscious. So, less fats and more fruits are the agenda but lets see how much I stick to it :D

Weight Control
Well, you don't get younger ever, right? So, health problems become imperative in life. A little control over weight can ward off most of these issues so yup I shall have to make strong resolutions and stick to them.

Active Lifestyle
Diet, Weight Control and Active Lifestyle are all inter-related. One leads to another. And, anyways, I have always aspired to have an active lifestyle but I do love being a couch potato.

Give me a book and hot chocolate and a blanket and I shall love lying all day long in sofa! Btw, I am gonna do the same right now as well :D

For those interested, I am reading "The Seeds of War" by Ashok Banker. Its his latest and I got it for review. Its another interpretation of Mahabharata and I am loving it.

Weekend Gossip Vol. 5 - Back to Hyderabad!

So, finally I landed back to Hyderabad. After reading the post I published yesterday, I realized I had missed out some of juicy news I wanted to share. So, let me start.

First of all, I had the most amazing of the Rasogollas this time and they were made of jaggery and had dates syrup and tasted really awesome!! They just melt in the mouth and I am missing them :(

Also, when in Delhi, I went to Sephora and checked out the skin care range which they had. There is this brand called Bamboo or something which looked promising and I checked out Nuxe as well but both of them are damn expensive!!

Oh, this time my flight back to Hyderabad was Air India and so I went to T3 after like an year and a half and guess what they have Starbucks over there. I was already dying to have their coffee but I tried out their hot chocolate which is just awesome, I say. So, do try it when you get the chance.

What else? I am just so tired that I am dropping dead. I need a good free weekend to unwind completely. But, unfortunately, the coming weekend will also be totally busy for me :(

Weekend Gossip Vol 3. - Trips and more Trips

travel - trip to guwahati, guwahati airport
that was at the airport, I donno why its not coming clearly!! its showing really well on the laptop though!

Wish you a Happy Republic Day!!

You all would already be aware that I am in Guwahati currently and I am staying here till Sunday and then I have another two day stop to make in Kolkatta in between before I head over to Delhi. This is the first time I have ever been to North-East so the experience has been pretty good in some ways. And, I am dead tired.

Yup, I did roam around a bit in Guwahati though there is not much to see here. Then, we are going to attend Republic Day celebrations after like what many years!! And, ya, I do have loads of snaps. The cam didn't fail me but I realized I am not so good with taking snaps which, obviously, wasn't a very heartening realization :(

Going across Brahmaputra on ferry is the highlight of the trip which I absolutely loved. We have done it many times but it never gets boring :D The trip details would come slowly and yes, I have another trip planned as well which I shall talk about after it happens.

What about you guys? How did you spend your week?

PS: This post was supposed to be published on 26th Jan but I had other things to publish before that so let this Tuesday be a weekend :)

Weekend Gossip Vol. 2 - What special you did this week?

Me? I went to Inkaar. Read its review here. And, what's more? By the time you would be reading this post (assuming you are not a night owl and reading it at 12:00 AM :D), I would be on the way to Guwahati. Yup, on a long office trip. This is my first so I am damn excited and damn nervous.

Ok, I know Guwahati might sound a bit strange going on work. But, I am dying to go there. Have heard that the place is damn beautiful and all. So, yup, this is the first acid test for my camera as well :D And, on the way back I am dropping off at Delhi for couple of days..yay!!

My Saturday would be all packing and chaotic. Gosh, its a long trip, after all. And, this is the first time I would be packing everything. Otherwise, when I go home, I carry only bits and pieces. Btw, I would be doing a post on travel beauty kit packing though sans makeup.

Anyways, you tellos :) Oh ya, we also had a team lunch as a farewell at Over the Flames in Gachibowli. Yup, its a place worth trying out if you like Italian. But, be prepared for more Italian flavor than the Indianized taste :D And, yeah, also check out Veg. Rizo at KFC.

What about you? How was your week? Did you do anything special?

Weekend Gossip Vol. 1 - Inkaar - Sexual Harassment or play of Emotions?

*May have spoilers*

I watched Inkaar yesterday evening. Movie is around 2 hours long. To start with, I totally love Arjun Rampal and Chitrangda Singh for their acting skills, looks don't really lag behind either in my like list. The lady is really hot.

And, the promos show that the movie is about sexual harassment. Honestly, it didn't really feel so. Yes, there was corporate politics and other issues but the basic premise of the movie was emotions and perspectives and how things look different to different genders.

The movie starts with the case itself and the flashbacks go on but they are unobtrusive and take you very gently into the lives of the protagonists. You can feel the pain of a scorned love and you can also feel the helplessness of unnamed relationships.

You would enjoy every second of the movie. The cinematography is satisfying and editing is crisp. Could have done some bits even more tighter but I am not exactly complaining. The best part of the movie for me was the climax which was very apt and could have been NOT A BIT better.

Ok, let me talk about looks a bit. The lady is looking super hot in all scenes as usual and I like her hair styles in it. The dude is, as usual, suave and debonair. Also, in the movie, something which you should not miss are the backgrounds of the scenes. They have most hilarious and quirky quotes on the walls, especially, in the toilets :D

Have you watched the movie? Do share your thoughts and reviews on the movie :)
